Zbiroh Castle
Zbiroh is undoubtedly considered the most mysterious castle in Bohemia. As the main seat of the Knights Templar, it attracts visitors with tours during which you’ll discover the secrets of medieval knights. There’s also a 163-meter-deep well here, which is the deepest well in Europe.
As part of the tour, you can view original Templar artifacts, such as a 13th-century sword or a 12th-century seal. During the castle tour, you’ll delve into the secrets of the Knights Templar. The castle tour will take you through medieval chambers that witnessed significant events and mysterious rituals. You’ll also find an exhibition of photographs by Alfons Mucha, who lived with his family at Zbiroh Castle for 18 years and created his famous *Slavic Epic* in the glass-enclosed hall. The castle is surrounded by a vast park stretching at the foot of the Křivoklát and Brdy forests. The park is designed in the English style. Zbiroh is also a place where you can enjoy a ropes course, paintball, or mini-golf.
